Waterfalls, Beer, and Jazz in Quebec
Last summer, I was lucky enough to travel to Quebec on my very first visit to Canada. First, we went to Quebec City, where we stayed at the beautiful and iconic Fairmont Le Chȃteau Frontenac, which is a historic site in and of itself. We strolled around the quaint and beautiful town, enjoying the waterfront walk and winding streets, and took advantage of Quebec’s thriving beer scene by having an excellent dinner at Chez Rioux & Pettigrew, a gastro-brewery. Then, we headed to Montreal, by way of the Parc de Jacques-Cartier, where we rented a cabin and camped for a night. In Montreal, we went on a food tour, hiked up Mont Royal, had a particularly memorable meaty dinner at Au Pied de Cochon, and saw a wonderful Jazz Festival concert at Le Gésu. All in all, we loved having a little bit of everything - pampered luxury, adventure, and cultural exploration in Quebec.
